Zinnias.

After the big snowstorm of 2010, we lost a bunch of branches on the trees in the backyard. One tree was a cedar and one was some kind of trash tree that has grown way too big. After all the dead and broken limbs were all trimmed off, we were left with a large dirt patch where there was no grass.  So I turned up all the dirt, which took forever, and then threw out a bunch of boxes of wildflower seeds and Zinnia seeds from the $1 store.  Then nothing happened. Until now…..

Finally we got some rain for a week, and much to my surprise, I am going to get a nice crop of Zinnas, with a few other wildflowers sprouting up too.  It’s going to be really pretty when all the Zinnias get blooming.
