Today I made pretzels with the intention of using them for sandwiches over the weekend and beyond. Even though I still did the twist, I kind of squished them together more so they would not have holes and would be more bun like. Sandwiches made with homemade pretzels are just so much better than regular bread, and great for easy and quick weekend meals. They freeze well, so I slightly under bake them and then I can thaw just a couple at a time to reheat in the oven right before we make sandwiches. I always use the Alton Brown recipe found here. So good!
