Peppers!

Serrano peppers!  What will I do with them? So fascinating that they are two different colors on the same plant!  I decided to pick them since they were changing color and showing the little marks that they are ready to be picked, I assumed they were ready even though some are small.

I think I will make some mexican style spicy pickled carrots and cauliflower and maybe a small batch of extra hot salsa. Yum!

    I had to click on this link because the picture looked so familiar! I was also surprised that my serranos were two different colors on the same plant. Turns out that the green ones will turn red with time (but the green ones are still perfectly good to use). So your red peppers are just a little more mature. I made salsa and some serrano cornbread with mine, and then I dried and pickled the rest of the haul. We had more than a hundred peppers off just two little plants!
