The Gerber daisy does not put off many flowers in the heat of the summer, but this one came up in the last week. It droops over in the hot afternoon sun, and so I try to give it a drink of water every afternoon. After the sun moves away and it pops right back up. The summer blooms are always small flowers with the palest pink fading to white petals, unlike the spring blooms that are really large and bright pink.
Yesterday afternoon after I gave it a good soaking, I looked down and saw how the water droplets had beaded up and formed perfect little lines on the back of the drooping pale pink petals. So pretty!
